Before deleting anything
Deletion may be irreversible. If you want to keep your progress, first export a Recovery Capsule from Settings and store it somewhere you control. Do not send that file to TableRival unless support specifically needs it and you choose to do so.
Deleting data does not automatically cancel an external subscription. Follow the cancellation step below before deleting an account if you do not want another renewal.
1. Delete data from this device or browser
- In TableRival, open Settings → Data backup and use Reset all progress. Read the confirmation carefully.
- For the installed web/PWA version, you can additionally remove stored site data for
app.tablerival.comin the browser’s privacy/site settings, then uninstall the PWA shortcut if desired. This removes local progress, preferences, caches, the offline device key and any offline Pro lease from that browser. - On mobile, clearing the app’s storage or deleting the app removes its local data subject to operating-system backup behaviour. Android/Google backups, iOS backups and manually exported files must be managed separately in the relevant system, cloud drive or folder.
A local reset does not delete a signed-in web account, server quota/exercise records, provider payment records or the account’s cloud capsule.
2. Delete only the Recovery Capsule cloud copy
In the signed-in web/PWA, open Progress → Account backup, choose Delete account backup, read the warning and then choose Confirm backup deletion. The second step deletes only the currently inspected revision of the cloud Recovery Capsule. If another device changes that copy before confirmation, the guarded operation fails instead of deleting a different revision; refresh the status and decide again.
This action does not delete progress saved on this device, the TableRival account, registered devices, Pro entitlement, payment records or a subscription. After successful deletion, the former private object is queued for cleanup. Minimal revision/tombstone metadata may remain so an old device cannot silently recreate the deleted copy. Local progress and manually exported files are unaffected.
If the control is unavailable or repeatedly fails, email tablerival@gmail.com with the subject “TableRival cloud copy deletion”. Send the request from the address used to sign in where possible and state that you want to keep the account but remove its cloud backup.
3. Request deletion of the TableRival account and remote data
This route covers the same TableRival account used in web/PWA and optionally linked native devices. In enabled native versions, Settings → Account → Request account deletion opens these instructions. There is not yet a complete “Delete account” button in the web/PWA interface. Send a request to tablerival@gmail.com with the subject “TableRival account deletion”. Use the same email address as your WorkOS sign-in where possible. Include only the information needed to identify the account and the requested scope; never send a password, authentication code, session token, Recovery Capsule or full payment-card number.
To prevent someone else from deleting your account, the Operator may ask you to confirm control through the sign-in provider or the same email channel. Once verified, the request covers TableRival-controlled account identifiers, identity mapping, sessions, registered devices and native device-key metadata, quota records, issued exercises, submitted choices/evaluations, reset-boundary records and the account cloud capsule. The Operator also handles associated provider-data deletion through the applicable WorkOS/RevenueCat process, subject to the exceptions below, and will confirm what was deleted, remains pending or was retained and why. A link click or acknowledgement email is not proof that deletion has completed.
Unlinking a native device or resetting shared progress is not an account-deletion request. Deleting the account does not automatically delete local data on each device, including retained guest/account recovery copies and previously exported files. Complete step 1 on every browser or device you want to clear. Already issued offline access may last until its signed expiry: at most 24 hours on native devices and 72 hours on web/PWA.
4. Cancel a subscription separately
- Web purchase: use the subscription-management link shown in your TableRival account or RevenueCat/Stripe customer portal when available. If you cannot reach it, contact tablerival@gmail.com.
- Apple App Store: cancel in Apple ID subscription settings.
- Google Play: cancel in Google Play subscription settings.
Cancellation normally stops future renewal but may leave Pro active until the paid period ends. Refunds and transaction history are handled under the relevant provider’s rules.
5. Data that may remain
Some information may be retained where necessary for tax, accounting, consumer claims, fraud prevention, security incidents, chargebacks or another legal obligation. Payment and authentication providers may retain records under their own legal duties and schedules. Provider backups and logs may disappear only through their normal deletion cycles. TableRival may also retain genuinely anonymised statistics that can no longer be linked to you.
There is no fixed automatic retention period configured for every web quota, exercise and evaluation record, and the exact OpenAI Sites log/statistics period for this deployment has not been confirmed. The Progress control handles only the current cloud capsule; a verified email request remains the route for full account deletion and other remote account records. TableRival will not promise an unverified deadline beyond the time required by applicable law.
